This year we will meet with the 7th/8th grade class periodically for Buddy Time.  Our first buddy meet up was on Wednesday.  Students met their big buddy, completed interviews, read stories, and played together.  We are so excited to have our first celebration on September 9th with them.  We will do apple activities, dress like Johnny Appleseed, and more! Look for more information in your child's red folder.

Another Fine Motor Friday

Check out our latest "Fine Motor Friday" stations.

 Paint writing our alphabet with Q-Tips.

 Using paint bags and Q-Tips to write sight words, letters, and draw pictures.

Fine Motor Friday

 For the first 9 weeks of school, our class will be doing "Fine Motor Fridays." This will include stations designed to strengthen their fine motor stills to help with their handwriting.  Using clothespins to pick up cotton balls, tweezers, stickers, beading, qtips, etc. will give us the extra practice necessary. Below you will see a few pictures from our first two weeks!

Snake Fun

Today, we were fortunate enough to have a Conservation Officer come to our room with a few friends.  Along with the 3year old preschool students, we learned many things about snakes.  From the difference in their eyes to the way their scales are layered, we can now tell the difference between venomous and non-venomous snakes around southern Indiana.
